After doing preliminary research at Jakarta , the researchers will explore initiatives movement in city pop music scene by interviewing music observers, musicians, city pop lovers, journalists, music curators, collectors, DJs/Selectors, city pop party makers, and historians in each city . We will end the research process in each city by initiate a collaborative music program to exchange city pop music between countries.

From the Organizer

This direct meeting resulted in an exchange of musical references that we did not come across when we were doing our pre-elimination research in Jakarta. We also exchange spirits for our pleasure in building a movement to preserve this city pop music and we plan future collaborations with them organically.

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 Pandemic made us unable to continue our journey to other Southeast Asian regions and we lost the spirit of real collaboration that we usually get when doing jamming music programs. Hopefully, the output that we will release digitally can be a trigger for collaboration energy until we can meet again later.
