Educational Materials Development of Bookkeeping toward the Sustainability in Indonesia
This project aims to achieve the sustainable development of accounting education in Indonesia to the target of fostering the next generation in Indonesia . Masako Saito, a Japanese university professor, collaborates with faculty members of universities in Indonesia to measure basic competency in accounting and bookkeeping among Indonesian university students, and attempts to expand and enhance the environment for accounting education by developing classroom materials and improving curriculums. Moreover, by enabling faculty responsible for undergraduate education in both Japan and Indonesia to share a variety of issues and problems pertaining to accounting education, and achieving academic exchange that enables such connections to be put to use in future research and educational activities, this project aims to contribute to the formation of an interpersonal network that will continue to improve accounting education in the countries after the project has come to an end.
