UNDERSTANDING YOUR NEIGHBOUR THROUGH LITERATURE

The project examines literary narratives created by Japanese poets, writers, artists and activists in Fukushima, Japan after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami and nuclear radiation disaster. The focus of Lily Yulianti’s project is “Mirai no Matsuri (the Festival of the Future)” in Fukushima Prefecture as well as to examine Japanese contemporary literature that have been translated into English.
