[Contents]
(1) Coaching for Potential Go Leaders
Leadership training seminars will be given for current or new leaders who are keen to promote go in ASEAN. In the seminars, you will learn deep knowledge of go to become a skillful leader from our professionals and senior staff.
(2) Go into School Education
We will share information on current status of go in ASEAN each other. And the Nihon Ki-in will inform you of the current status on promotion of go in Japanese schools and give you the know-hows. You will also visit schools where go is installed in their school curriculum.
(3) Collaborative Study
The Nihon Ki-in will give you know-hows on putting go into school education and you will discuss and examine if you can apply our know-hows into your country. After discussion and collaborative study, we will release a report.

From the Organizer

囲碁界においては、今まで愛好家の棋力を底上げするというような事業が中心だったが、学校囲碁授業の導入を、日本とアジアで共同して研究し、推進して行くという画期的な協働作業が実現した。 本事業の実施により、アジアで親しまれている囲碁の文化的価値、教育的価値が上がっていくことが期待できるため、国際交流基金の助成は大変有意義である。 また、本事業がきっかけでASEANに限らず、日本と北米間でも事業研修が開始されたこと、今後さらに、世界中に同事業が拡大される可能性が出てきた。 学校の囲碁授業導入については、各国の事情があるものの、日本が提案した指導方法を各国が採用し、囲碁普及を推進することとなった。 今回の事業を通じて、囲碁指導のノウハウや、囲碁の効能に関する情報を提供し合う日本とASEAN諸国間で本格的な交流基盤をつくることが出来、今後は、この基盤を活用して協力体制を拡げ、この協力体制を維持し、ASEAN諸国の囲碁界の成長を相互協力で支援していくこととなった。
