Khin had an opportunity of learning organic farming at Ami, the Center for International Field Agriculture Research and Education (iFC), Ibaraki University. Facing with magnificent Kasumigaura Lake, the city has vast agriculture fields of rice, lotus, spinach, and sweet potatoes. She enjoyed attending students’ seminars, working together at their research field, using laboratory facilities, participating in university field days. During a site visit at International Nature Farming Research Center (INFRC), in Matsumoto, Nagano, Khin learned nature farming practices; study-toured at Saku hospital farm, Usuda Saku compost Factory, Wasabi farm, and met with organic farmers in Kasuga area. “International Symposium on Sustainable Agriculture: Voices from Shinshu”held in Nagano City, Nagano gave a good learning from several scientists, researchers and extend friendship with organic farmers.
