Other than planning and managing the film festival that takes place every two years, different programs were organized, such as filmmaking workshop in Nara for young directors from both Japan and abroad, in order to show the fascination of movies. In one program "Let's talk about LGBT!", it introduced the life of LGBT, and offered a chance to think about sexuality, and the diverse way of living. In the photo exhibition "OUT IN JAPAN ×NIFF" (cooperation with photographer Leslie KEE) it showed the condition and the future of LGBTs in Asia and various parts of the country, along with screening of movie "EAT WITH ME", and a talk-session with guests from Asia.

From the Organizer
Although there are different laws and culture in each country, it's important to recognize that each and every one of those people spend each day wishing for happiness in life, and this gave us a chance to think of sexuality as well as diversity of the people living in Asia. We will like to continue to share an opportunity to think about minorities, not just about sexuality, and hold programs that work towards a society without discrimination to have more people with a global view in the society, . With the grant, we are fortune to have been able to hold such a program in Nara.
